It doesn't come with a changing pad, it isn't leather (it will eventually become besoiled with poop or strained peas - you can probably run it through the washing machine though). I usually just use a towel for a changing pad and then run it on hot with bleach. The wipes compartment is very cool - you don't have to dick around trying to find the ziplocs full of wipes - you need to carry two types: baby wipes for butts and faces and hands, and antibacterial wipes to clean table surfaces and high chair rails, toys, etc - anything baby will try to put in her mouth (which is pretty much everything).
